Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist
Sarah is a highly experienced, caring and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist with over 28 years’ experience working in both NHS and independent settings. She supports children and adults with a wide range of speech, language and communication needs, offering a professional, friendly service focused on helping individuals and their families achieve their full communicative potential.
Sarah has a broad range of professional interests at ISLTS, with particular expertise in stammering and voice disorders. She specialises in dysfluency and has undertaken extensive additional training in evidence-based stuttering therapies, including Lidcombe, Palin PCI and Camperdown. She regularly attends National Stammering CEN study days to maintain and develop her specialist knowledge.
In addition, Sarah has conducted research funded by the Dominic Barker Trust into the development of childhood stuttering. This work has led to the publication of several articles, presentations at international conferences, and the delivery of training workshops in the UK and Canada.
Sarah also has significant expertise in the assessment and management of voice disorders, supporting patients to achieve improvement or resolution of voice difficulties and associated throat discomfort.
She is experienced in administering Autism diagnostic observation schedule (ADOS) assessments and is part of the autism assessment team at our sister company Norfolk Autism Assessment.
