Standard Speech & Language Assessment Packages
Option 1 – £127.50
Our initial Speech and Language assessment costs £127.50 and comprises
- One assessment appointment of up to 50 minutes
- An email summary of the session
Following your first appointment, the therapist will advise whether a more detailed assessment (Options 2 or 3 below) is recommended and explain the reasons for this.
Option 2 – £250
Our next Speech and Language assessment package costs £250 and comprises:
- one assessment appointment of up to 50 minutes
- an assessment report
- a meeting to discuss findings and recommendations – this can be done face-to-face at our clinic, or by Zoom/Teams, or as a phone call
Option 3 – £350
Our comprehensive initial Speech and Language assessment package costs £350 and comprises:
- two assessment appointments of up to 50 minutes each
- a detailed assessment report
- a meeting to discuss findings and recommendations – this can be done face-to-face at our clinic, or by Zoom/Teams, or as a phone call
Option 4 – Specialist Bespoke Assessment
Some clients present with more complex needs that require a bespoke assessment package. In these cases, a tailored quotation will be provided following an initial discussion.
DLD Specialist Assessment
- Free telephone consultation (20 minutes): – An opportunity to discuss your concerns with a specialist Speech and Language Therapist, ask questions about DLD, and explore whether a diagnostic assessment would be appropriate. No obligation to proceed.
- Optional screening appointment (30-45 minutes): £50 – An informal, play-based clinic session focusing on your child’s understanding and use of spoken language, followed by verbal feedback and recommendations. If you proceed to a full assessment, this cost is deducted from the total fee.
- Diagnostic assessment: £350-£450 – Includes a parent consultation and developmental history, questionnaires from school or nursery, 1–2 assessment sessions, and a comprehensive written report with diagnostic conclusions and personalised recommendations.
- Combined assessment and therapy pathway: £750 – Includes the full diagnostic process plus a 6-week block of therapy, usually delivered in school, along with a detailed report, intervention plan, therapy targets, and guidance for home and school.

Selective Mutism Specialist Assessment
- Free telephone consultation (20 minutes): – Discuss your concerns with a specialist Speech and Language Therapist and explore next steps.
- Not Selective Mutism outcome: £127.50 – Questionnaire and report review with feedback, explanation, and guidance on next steps.
Assessment Options – all options include questionnaires and clinician review.
- Option 1: £250 – Strategies, guidance, and signposting (no diagnostic report)
- Option 2: £350 – Full diagnostic report + therapy recommendations
- Option 3: £700 – Full diagnostic report + therapy recommendations + up to 6 hours of intervention

Therapy Costs
Ongoing therapy is charged at £85 per hour. Sessions are billed pro rata and include a 10-minute administration period. Therapy usually takes place at our clinic, although we also regularly provide sessions in educational settings, care homes and occasionally in patients’ homes.
The number and frequency of sessions will depend on the individual’s needs and progress.

Voice Therapy
The cost would be dependent upon the regime of therapy required and the specialism of the therapist providing the therapy. This would be discussed with you prior to the onset of therapy

Free Advice Sessions
Throughout the year, we offer free 20-minute speech and language advice sessions for parents who have concerns about their child’s communication development.

Travel Costs
If the assessment does not take place in our clinic, there may be associated travel costs and these will be calculated on a case by case basis.
