Private Autism Assessment
Assessments at ISLTS are delivered by an experienced multi-disciplinary team, providing a gold-standard diagnostic service. We follow NICE best-practice guidance, ensuring every private Autism assessment is thorough, balanced and clinically robust.
An Autism assessment can be an important step in understanding how you or your child experience the world. For children, a diagnosis can help families and schools understand their needs and access appropriate support. For adults, it can provide clarity about lifelong differences in communication, relationships and sensory experiences.
Signs That an Autism Assessment May Be Helpful
Autism presents differently in every individual. An assessment may be helpful if you or your child experience some of the following:
In Children
- Differences in speech, language or communication
- Difficulty making or maintaining friendships
- Repetitive behaviours or strong interests
- Sensory sensitivities (e.g. noise, textures, lights)
- Difficulty coping with changes in routine
In Adults
- Feeling different in social situations
- Difficulty interpreting social cues or body language
- Sensory sensitivities affecting daily life
- Preference for routine and predictability
- Intense interests in specific topics
If these experiences sound familiar, a private Autism assessment can provide clarity and guidance.
Our Autism Diagnostic Process
Before we agree to undertake a full assessment, parents/carers/individuals are requested to complete a questionnaire providing information about their concerns, their child / young person’s presentation and some background information. The information obtained will be used to decide whether there is sufficient evidence to warrant a full assessment.
