2026 School Holiday Free Advice Sessions

Our FREE advice sessions are here to support parents who have concerns about their child’s speech and language development.

Are you worried?

Every child develops at their own pace, so it’s natural to wonder whether your concerns are something to act on. If you find yourself asking the questions below, our free advice session with one of our friendly Speech and Language Therapists can provide reassurance and clear guidance on the best next steps.

  • Are you worried that your child isn’t talking yet?
  • Do you have difficulty in understanding your child’s speech?
  • Is your child stammering, and you are not sure whether to seek help?
  • Is your child finding it hard to communicate with others?
  • Do you feel your child’s speech is not the same as other children their age?

What to Expect

Throughout the year, we offer free 20-minute speech and language advice sessions for parents who have concerns about their child’s communication development.

Our next free advice sessions will be on

  • Thursday 28th May, 10am-1pm
  • Wednesday 28th October, 10am-1pm

Each 20-minute, bookable session gives you the chance to talk with an experienced Speech and Language Therapist about your child’s needs – whether or not they have a diagnosis. You’ll receive practical guidance on next steps and signposting to helpful services.

If you would like to be contacted with the next set of session dates when they are announced, call 01603 664433 or email office@islts.co.uk

Our Flourish Pledge

How Can Speech and Language Therapy Help?

Speech and language therapy can empower children to communicate more effectively, fostering greater independence and social connection. At our central Norwich Clinic, we offer individualised support in areas such as:

  • Speech Therapy: Strengthening oral motor skills and improving articulation to enhance speech clarity.
  • Breathing and Voice Therapy: Developing strategies to manage breath control and speech volume.
  • Language Development: Building understanding and use of spoken or written language through engaging, tailored activities.
  • Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC): Introducing and supporting the use of powered communication devices, paper-based symbol/picture systems, and signing.
  • Parent/carer and Caregiver Training: Helping families use strategies and tools to support communication in everyday situations.

Personalised Care for Every Stage

Our experienced team understands the complex needs of children and works closely with families to create an individualised therapy plan. We aim to make each session enjoyable, practical, and meaningful for your child’s communication goals.

We understand that children and young people spend as much time in education as they do at home, so it is important to us that nursery/school staff and parents/carers all know how best to support the child. This means that we provide sessions both in clinic and in education settings, as appropriate in each individual case, supporting all those around the child.
