Fritha is a highly specialist Speech and Language Therapist with 15 years of experience of working with children and their families across Norfolk and Suffolk.
She qualified from the University of East Anglia in 2009 and has subsequently worked in both the NHS and in the independent sector.
Fritha is a neurodevelopmental specialist; she is trained to deliver the ADOS and has experience of working within several multidisciplinary diagnostic teams. She also has a special interest in supporting children who have experienced early adversity and childhood trauma. She has post graduate training in the use of both the Picture Exchange Communication System and Signalong as well as working with school-age children who stutter, Selective Mutism, the TEACCH approach and supporting children and young people with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
Fritha’s caseload mainly consists of pre-school and school aged children who require a high level of support within a mainstream setting. She has worked extensively with school staff across the region providing programmes of training, assessment and therapy.
Central to Fritha’s work is the understanding that each child is an individual and needs to be understood within the context of their environment and family structure. Fritha is committed to supporting and empowering parents, carers and educational professionals to enable every child to reach their potential. Her carefully planned interventions and detailed reports combine evidenced-based practice with a foundational belief that positive relationships, connection and co-regulation are key to improving the outcomes of all children and young people.
